At Skin & Vision Clinic, botox treatments are performed by Doctor R.J.H.M. Kloos, a BIG-registered ophthalmologist. What makes that different? Anatomical precision, medical safety and years of clinical experience with the delicate area around the eyes.
What is botox?
Botulinum toxin type A — better known as botox — is a protein that temporarily blocks the nerve-muscle connection. This relaxes the treated muscles and softens wrinkles in a natural way.
Characteristics:
The periocular area demands expertise
The face around the eyes contains exceptionally complex musculature. The orbicularis oculi muscle — the ring muscle around the eye — is responsible for closing the eye and plays a role in tear drainage, expression and the position of the eyebrow.

The treatment process
Step 1: Consultation
Dr Kloos discusses your wishes, medical history and any eye conditions. You receive a transparent quotation.
Step 2: Treatment session
The injection session takes 15–30 minutes. You can resume your daily activities immediately. Avoid intensive exercise and alcohol for the first 24 hours.
Step 3: Follow-up
A check-up appointment follows after 2 weeks. The result is then fully visible and any adjustment is possible.
Safety comes first
At Skin & Vision Clinic we use exclusively CE/FDA-certified botulinum toxin preparations, in a medically certified environment in accordance with the NVvO guidelines.
